Progress! How to be patient, when it doesn’t come naturally.

Progress can feel slow, especially when you’re over 40, menopausal and the world’s most impatient person!

Let’s talk about progress. We live in a quick fix, instant gratification world. It’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting it NOW. And then being disappointed when it doesn’t happen fast enough.

It’s taken me a YEAR to get to this point.

Where I can do these exercises pain free.

Thank you Anastrozole for that lovely side effect.

I’ve upped the weights over a LONG time - bit by bit. Not in a big leap. Every time I’ve had a break for whatever reason, I’ve had to go back down. It’s been so FRUSTRATING.

Progress is NEVER linear. But with consistency and patience. It’s possible. Even after cancer. Even if you take hormone therapy. Even if you’re the most impatient person in the world. Me.

Dear running. I will never take you for granted ever again. I’ve missed you. You complete me. You balance me. You make me strong. You make me a better person. Let’s never be apart. I promise I will keep up the hard work and never forget what you mean to me.

Love, this stubborn cancer patient
